First off I'd like to say that blockhead is one of my favorite hip-hop producers and he is a very talented samplist. However this album doesn't give him justice. Don't get me wrong its good but if you really want to know what blockhead is about listen to Uncle Tony's Coloring Book. Back to the review, If you have never listened to Blockhead, his music is heavily influenced by hip hop and jazz. Every track is filled with samples from old records and Jazzy Interludes. With this album he went for a more produced sound and lost his original older feel, which in some ways is better for a first time listener however die hard fans were upset. This album is still constructed very well and is Musically fantastic. Blockhead is one of Artists I could recommend to anyone because he is so musically universal. So if you are tired of listening to Miles Davis switch it up and pop In some blockhead for your jazz fix.
Bottom Line: 8/10 Charles Clark Muscian/Producer
